The online learning program is suited to e-learners and can be completed at your own pace with only a two and a half hour face-to-face assessment session. The delivery is innovative, stimulating and interactive.
Please note that an internet connection such as ADSL or Broadband is required to complete the HLTFA301B online course. Dial up internet is not recommended.
Online learning offers a range of benefits to the learner including:

This style of learning works well for those who are self starters and like to learn by reading and using multimedia/online resources. It is very different to the standard face-to-face mode of training where there is a trainer and class mates. The course allows you to study at home or any time to gain certified skills.
This course is suited to beginners and those wishing to update their qualification in first aid.

Review and preparation for the 2.5 hour assessment session
You will be required to read through all the tutorials, complete the quizzes and participate in the various learning activities throughout the online course. You will also complete a 50 multiple choice question paper undertaken in 60 minutes. You will not be admitted into your assessment session without completing the multiple choice question paper.
Workshop program – 2.5 hour
Now that you have completed the on-line component and multiple choice assessment, we will need to test your practical skills in delivering first aid.
When you come on your chosen assessment day, one of our Trainer Assessors will assess you in various areas associated with your course’s stated competencies.
The workshop includes:
- Review of CPR skills and practice
- Assessment of performance in managing an unconscious casualty and giving CPR
- Assessment of first aid management skills using a variety of realistic first aid scenarios.
