This unit of competency offers fundamental life support – the knowledge and skills required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Guidelines and is suited particularly to those required to ensure their CPR skills are current at the end of every 12 months. This program is designed for carers working with clients who have epilepsy. The course develops the knowledge to understand and recognise epilepsy and the different types of seizures, and the knowledge and skills to manage seizures.
