This course provides the knowledge and skills required to manage a life-threatening emergency and deliver rescue breathing and cardiopulmonary resuscitation to an unconscious person.

- Recognition and management of an unconscious casualty
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) - adult, children and infant variations
- Understanding the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Cultural awareness & sensitivity
- Infection control principles and procedures
- Critical incident stress management
- Obtaining emergency services or medical assistance
- Communication and documentation of the incident details

Assessment
Students’ performance in relation to the unit’s competency elements is assessed.
Award
A Statement of Attainment is issued to participants on successful completion.

This online learning option is suited to e-learners and can be completed at your own pace with only a one hour face-to-face assessment session.
Cost: $75 per person plus $15 postage and handling
