This training comprises the single competency unit HLTFA403A Manage first aid in the workplace from the Health Training Package HLT07, which provides Nationally Recognised Training wihin the Australian Qualifications Framework (for further information visit www.ntis.gov.au)

Award

A Statement of Attainment is issued to participants upon successful completion of the unit's assessment requirements.

Description

This unit of competency provides participants with the knowledge and skills to establish and manage a workplace first aid facility, manage workplace first aid records, and evaluate the provision of first aid in the workplace.

This unit should be assessed either after or in conjunction with achievement of the following related competency unit HLTFA402B Apply advanced first aid

Assessment

To be judged competent in this unit, participants are required to:

  1. Complete a workplace case study report
  2. Participate in three first aid critical incident problem solving scenario excercises and demonstrate the required knowledge and skills specified for this unit

Trainer/Assessors

PREMIUMHEALTH provides trainer/assessors who have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and experience as highly skilled nurses or paramedics.
